Open data for science is a type of data focused on publishing observations and results of scientific activities available for anyone to analyze and reuse.   Food security is key as an objective for open science data knowing when best to and not to plant in a region and how best to store food using available research data including weather data can effectively reduce or else wipe away losses incurred in agriculture which adequately leads to food security stability in a region . This in turn assures income for farmers and other interested parties.  Open data has its disadvantages it is only accessible to the marginalized communities who may need to relay on it more thence,may not usually be obtained in time expected,an indicator that information dissemination to such marginalized community would be needed open data are bound to enable more Africans to have access to land they need for housing and various businesses
